Centinel Spine's Prodisc revenue exceeds $17M in Q3: 8 things to know

Centinel Spine, a global medical device company and the creator of the Prodisc total disc replacement product line, has exceeded $17 million in revenue in the third quarter of the year, its highest grossing quarter to date. 

Here are eight things to know about Centinel's third-quarter financial results, according to a Nov. 2 press release from the company: 

1. Centinel has seen a 61% growth in global revenue year over year in the third quarter.

2. The company attributes its strong third-quarter results to a record number of Prodisc surgeon users and user adoption of its new Prodisc C Vivo and Prodisc C SK cervical disc replacement systems. 

3. Its Prodisc cervical volume grew 75% over 2022, while the Prodisc lumbar volume grew 43%. 

4. U.S. Prodisc cervical growth was over 100% in the third quarter. 

5. As of the third quarter, almost 380 U.S. surgeons are using a Prodisc system. 

6. Centinel achieved its 2,500th procedure using the new Prodisc C Vivo and Prodisc C SK system in September, just five months after its 1,000th case. 

7. Prodisc total disc replacement revenue has reached $49 million year to date. 

8. Looking ahead, the company predicts its total disc replacement business to exceed 50% year-over-year growth, outpacing its projected market growth of 11%.
