With its SeaSpine merger sealed and a new leader at the helm, Orthofix had a busy 2023. Here's what to know going into next year:
1. Orthofix and SeaSpine's merger was completed Jan. 5.Ninety-nine percent of SeaSpine common shares were voted in approval of the merger, and 98% of Orthofix common shares were voted in approval.
2. Orthofix saw year-over-year revenue growth in the first, second and third quarters of 2023.
3. Orthofix has a new CEO — Massimo Calafiore. He will step into the role in 2024 to replace interim CEO Catherine Burzik. The company is still looking to replace its interim CFO and interim chief legal officer.
4. Orthofix had several notable spine product launches including the WaveForm L interbody system, OsteoCove advance bioactive synthetic graft and WaveForm A interbody device.
