Vuze Medical's software-based 3D spine guidance earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its second iteration, the company said May 29.
Vuze 2.0 supports a broader range of surgical C-arms and accommodates more sources of 3D image data from preoperative and in-OR imaging, according to a news release. Surgical planning can also be done at any time or place on a laptop and the Vuze system.
The second-generation software, like the first generation, doesn't require a camera, markers, references or tool add-ons to use.
