7 medtech notes: Medtronic, Zimmer Biomet and more

From new partnerships and product debuts, here are seven key updates from spine and orthopedic medtech companies since June 5.

1. Zimmer Biomet entered agreements with Think Surgical and RevelAi Health. With Think Surgical it will offer the Tmini wireless handheld robot for total knee replacement. WIth RevelAI, Zimmer Biomet will commercialize artificial intelligence-powered care management platforms and other products.

2. Spinal Simplicity earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its Wolff's Law anterior cervical plate system. 

3. Jim Butler was named Theragen's vice president of sales.

4. Orthofix named Julie Dewey as chief investor relations and communications officer.

5. Eminent Spine's SI screw system earned the FDA's 510(k) clearance.

6. Pierce Nunley, MD, performed the first U.S. case with Sail Fusion's BowTie sacroiliac joint fusion system.

7. Providence Medical Technology's Corus navigation access system was cleared by the FDA for use with Medtronic's StealthStation system for posterior spinal fusions.
