OrthoPediatrics is launching an enabling technologies division, led by Kevin Unger, the company said Sept. 12.
The company has its eyes on developing two new platforms, according to a news release. Playbook will be a surgical workflow platform to enhance surgical planning. OrthoPediatrics is also partnering with iotaMotion to bring a robotic insertion system for cochlear implant surgery.
Already the company has made moves in spine and orthopedic enabling technology. It distributes the 7D Flash navigation system and is partnering with 3D Side for patient-specific cutting guides.
