The first cases with Implanet's Jazz posterior fixation system were completed, the devicemaker said Feb. 9.
The system enables surgeons to create a soft landing of posterior spinal constructs, preventing proximal junctional kyphosis in spinal deformity cases, according to a news release.
The Jazz PF device has a CE mark in Europe and FDA 510(k) clearance in the U.S. It launched in Europe in September, and marketing of the device began toward the end of 2021, Implanet CEO Ludovic Lastennet said in the release.
