Restor3d, a musculoskeletal devicemaker, raised $23 million to expand the delivery of personalized 3D-printed implants and to develop software for engineers.
The company focuses on orthopedic and spine implants and plans to use the capital for new products, developing machine learning-enabled software and research, according to an April 5 news release. There are also plans to grow the commercial team.
In 2021, Restor3d merged with Kinos Medical, a total ankle replacement devicemaker. In 2023, the company plans to move to a facility in North Carolina.
