Kimberley Elting on April 8 was appointed president of global orthopedics for implant developer Orthofix.
Four details:
1. Ms. Elting joined Orthofix in 2016 and has served as the company's chief legal and development officer for the last two years. She succeeds Paul Gonsalves, who left the company to pursue other opportunities, according to a news release.
2. Ms. Elting's experience in the medtech industry includes supporting research and development and commercialization, as well as leading business development initiatives that strengthened company growth.
3. She was involved in Orthofix's acquisitions of various companies and technologies, including the M6-C artificial cervical disc and the Fitbone internal limb lengthening system, and was a key figure in the expansion of the company's biologics portfolio.
4. Ms. Elting will transition her legal, business development and corporate communications responsibilities to new leaders in the coming months, the release said.
