Devicemaker launches spine surgical access system

Spinal Tech

Spine devicemaker TeDan Surgical released a surgical access system designed for anterior approaches.

The Phantom UL ZeroATP system was designed in collaboration with Thomas Terramani, MD, according to an April 28 news release. It is a single-system access for the lumbar spine for an anterior approach to the psoas muscle.

"Not only offering the safety and ergonomic benefits of the supine patient positioning for disc exposure and instrumentation, the ZeroATP approach allows the spine team the flexibility to address multilevel cases from L2-L5," Dr. Terramani said in the release. "In short, either direct anterior or oblique ATP pathways to the lumbar spine can be used with a single retractor system and single patient position."
