Spinal Simplicity, the devicemaker behind the minimally invasive Minuteman procedure, hired a senior principal scientist.
Tom Hedman, PhD, is the founder and chief scientific officer of Intralink-Spine, which Spinal Simplicity acquired, according to a May 19 news release. He has been involved with orthopedic research and development since 1983 and focuses on soft tissue biomechanics.
At Spinal Simplicity, he will focus on clinical studies and domestic regulatory clearances. He will also lead efforts in other studies for the company's spine technology.
