Minimally invasive implants cleared for lumbar spinal stenosis

Spinal Tech

Aurora Spine received FDA clearance for its Zip minimally invasive spine implants.

The implants were cleared for lumbar spinal stenosis treatment, according to a July 12 news release. Zip implants have been cleared to help treat degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, trauma and tumors previously.

The Zip series has a variety of bone anchors, Aurora Spine's one-step locking mechanism and space for biologic materials. It was designed as an alternative to pedicle screw fixation.
