Pelvic reconstruction technology gets FDA clearance

Spinal Tech

Onkos Surgical has received 510(k) FDA clearance for its My3D pelvic reconstruction system, which includes 3D implants, instruments and models that can be used to treat pelvic issues more effectively, the 3D Printing Media Network reported July 17.

My3D offers patient specific printed implants that can be used in multiple pelvic regions, and they are designed and printed in a way that addresses pelvic pain and challenges like never before, according to the company.

My3D also comes with its own patient portal, allowing physicians to share images and test results with their patients through protected online software.

“This clearance is a major milestone for Onkos Surgical as we continue to leverage our experience and expertise in 3D planning and printing to optimize patient-specific solutions for complex orthopedic conditions,” Patrick Treacy, Onkos Surgical’s co-founder and CEO told 3D Printing Media Network.
