Spine Surgeon leader to Know: Dr. John Peloza of Center for Spine Care

John Peloza, MD, is a founding partner and director of Dallas-based Center for Spine Care. He is a member of the International Spine Injection Society, North American Spine Society, American College of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He was among the first surgeons to use the coflex Interlaminar Technology for motion preservation in the United States.
Dr. Peloza is a specialist in minimal access spinal technology. He also specializes in the treatment of back injuries, cervical herniated discs, lumbar degenerative disc disease, lumbar spinal stenosis and spinal fractures. He was instrumental in helping to launch several minimally invasive orthopedic treatments for the spine including SEXTANT and MET-Rx.

"I look forward to the future of spine care in spite of all the challenges ahead," said Dr. Peloza in a Becker's Spine Review article. "Science and technology are advancing providing exciting opportunities for spine physicians to improve care. This will require careful, honest, and ethical study combining the resources of the best research and clinical minds in the field. I am presently committed to several basic research and clinical studies in biologics, nanotechnology and surgical techniques. Hopefully, these will lead to predictable, high quality, cost effective treatments in the near future."

Dr. Peloza earned his medical degree at the Feinberg School of Medicine - Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
