Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. Edward Goldberg of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush

Edward Goldberg, MD, is a spine surgeon at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and assistant professor at Rush University Medical Center. He has a special interest in spinal injuries and diseases of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He has been with Rush for more than 23 years.

Dr. Goldberg earned board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and completed fellowships in lumbar spine surgery from Rush and in cervical spine surgery from the University of Miami. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and North American Spine Society. Dr. Goldberg was additionally selected into the “Leading Physicians of the World Society.”

 

He performs motion preservation techniques such as disc replacement and has research interests in the outcomes of cervical and lumbar decompression and fusion. He participated in the Spine Patient Outcomes Research Trial and performs minimally invasive spinal surgery.

 

Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics.
