Healthcare technology company Aclarion has added Alpesh Patel, MD, co-director of Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine Center for Spine Health, as a key opinion leader and physician adviser.
Dr. Patel is also a professor of orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery at Northwestern. He is the eighth key opinion leader tapped for Aclarion's board, joining other orthopedic, spine and neurosurgeons.
Aclarion is working on creating augmented intelligence algorithms for physicians to identify the location of chronic lower back pain.
Its Nociscan solution is the first platform to noninvasively distinguish between painful and nonpainful discs in the lumbar spine, according to a March 7 press release.
