Missoula City Council approved Missoula (Mont.) Bone & Joint's proposal to open a new outpatient center, according to Missoula Current.
Here are four takeaways:
1. The new outpatient center will be open 24 hours a day, similar to what Missoula Bone & Joint offers at their other location.
2. Surgeons at the center offer patients outpatient spine and joint surgery. Costs of the procedures can be 50 percent to 60 percent less than hospital-based procedures.
3. The new location will fill a vacant two-story building on a medical campus in Missoula. The center needed city approval because it is over 30,000 square-feet.
4. City council members voted unanimously in favor of opening the new outpatient center.
