New York City-based Northwell Health recently launched a robotics program for total joint replacements at four of its hospitals in Long Island, N.Y., reports The Island Now.
Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital, North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., and Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, N.Y., are participating in the program.
The health system features Stryker's Mako robotic arm for partial and total joint replacements.
The Northwell arthroplasty specialists participating in the program are Michael Ciminiello MD, Sreevathsa Boraiah, MD, Jonathan Danoff, MD, Vijay Rasquinha, MD, James Germano, MD, Bradley Gerber, MD and Shyam Vekaria, MD.
