Shreveport, La.-based Willis-Knighton Health System is among the first in the state to implement the Rosa Knee robot, the Bossier Press-Tribune reported Nov. 12.
Rosa Knee was designed by Zimmer Biomet to help surgeons accurately place implants during total knee replacement.
The robot lets surgeons create 3D preoperative plans and guides them through the plan intraoperatively.
John Mays, MD, was the first surgeon at Willis-Knighton to perform a knee replacement with the robot.
