Globus Medical is looking to launch a knee robot early next year, CEO Dan Scavilla said in a Nov. 7 earning call.
Mr. Scavilla said while the launch is pending the FDA's green light, he is aiming to have the robot out in the first half of 2024.
"With that, comes obviously the cementless knee, which I think will be the major player there and that is well progressing on a good pace with it," Mr. Scavilla said, as transcrbed by Motley Fool. "I think [in] 2024 [we'll] start talking obviously more about the joints in total. While I don't know if given our current size with the merger, it will be a material lift. It will be nice to actually get out the door with us, start talking about it and then see it contribute in the years after that."
The company posted $383.6 million in sales during the third quarter, a 51% jump year-over-year.
