Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare adapted the Mazor X robotic surgical system for spinal surgery, reports Spectrum News 1.

2. The device's imaging technology and GPS system helps surgeons plan procedures, place screws more accurately and improve spine surgery efficiency.
3. Mazor X guides the surgical arm into position and translates the surgical plan to trajectory guidance during surgery.
