Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center introduced new robotic technology in its neurosurgery department.
Three insights:
1. Hershey Medical Center became central Pennsylvania's first provider to use the Mazor X Stealth Edition Robotic Guidance Platform for minimally invasive surgery.
2. The platform enables Hershey Medical Center's spine surgeons to create individualized, 3D surgical plans preoperatively and provides intraoperative guidance.
3. The center's neurosurgery department has a team of 19 neurosurgeons and two medical neuro-oncologists.
