Oklahoma City-based OU Medical Center is now offering robotic-assisted spine surgery, reports OU Daily.
Three things to know:
1. Robotic spine surgery aids spine surgeons in the placement of pedicle screws.
2. The technology allows for the preoperative planning of procedures and offers real-time images of patients' anatomies.
3. The new technology will be added to the hospital's other robotics programs, which includes urology, pulmonology, oncology and general surgery.
