Ohio health system expands robotic offerings for spine, brain surgery

Lima (Ohio) Memorial Health System has added two Medtronic robots for spine and brain surgeries, Hometown Stations reported Aug. 20.

The system has installed the Mazor X robot, which guides surgeons in the accurate placement of pedicle screws during spine procedures.

Lima Memorial also installed Medtronic's Stealth Autoguide System for brain surgery, which improves visualization and navigation during cranial procedures.

Surgeons have completed five inpatient procedures with the robots so far.
