Topeka, Kan.-based Stormont Vail Health and its orthopedic center, Cotton O'Neil Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, added Zimmer Biomet's Rosa robotic system, WIBW reported April 11.
The system is being used for total knee replacements. Surgeons can create a personalized plan for patients, allowing for more precise measurements and information.
Stormont Vail Health is the first in the northeast Kansas region to adopt the technology, according to orthopedic surgeon Michael Tilley, MD.
