9 centers adding spine, orthopedic robots in July

Becker's reported on nine hospitals and ASCs adding spine and orthopedic surgical robots in July.

1. Mission Surgery Center in Mission Viejo, Calif., has added its second Rosa robotic system.

2. Puyallup, Wash.-based Neospine added the Mazor X Stealth Edition robotic guidance platform to its ASC.

3. West Orange, N.J.-based Advanced Spine and Outpatient Surgery debuted the ExcelsiusGPS robotic navigation system.

4. Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Ga., added Velys, DePuy Synthes' robot for total knee replacement.

5. Thomas Mazahery, MD, debuted artificial intelligence-driven robotic technology in spine surgery at Reston (Va.) Hospital.

6. Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Penrose-St. Francis Health Services installed Globus Medical's ExcelsiusGPS robot. 

7. Rapid City, S.D.-based Black Hills Surgical Hospital has added two robots for total hip and knee replacements.

8. Rancho Mirage, Calif.-based Eisenhower Health added its fourth Mako robot, something only four other hospitals have done.

9. Curtis Kephart, MD, performed Delray Medical Center's first knee replacement with Smith+Nephew's Cori Robot.
