Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center completed the first total knee replacement on the East Coast using the newest iteration of Think Surgical's TSolution One robot.
The hospital said Feb. 8 that the procedure was performed by Yair Kissin, MD, vice chair of the department of orthopedics at Hackensack University Medical Center, part of Hackensack Meridian Health.
The TSolution One system consists of TPlan, a 3D presurgical planning workstation and Tcat, an active robot that supports a choice of knee implants from multiple manufacturers in an open implant library.
