Three notes:

1. Mako fuses 3D preoperative planning, haptic technology and data analytics to improve outcomes for total hip replacements and partial and total knee replacements, according to Stryker. The technology is designed to prevent soft tissue damage and facilitate greater bone preservation.

2. Mesfin Shibeshi, DO, is leading the orthopedic team at Winchester Medical Center and Max Lingamfelter, DO, directs the orthopedic program at Warren Memorial Hospital.

3. Valley Health performs more than 1,000 total joint replacements a year, according to the report.
