Medtronic has teamed with Ziehm Imaging, a Nuremburg, Germany-based medical technology company, to combine 3D imaging technology with intraoperative navigation, according to a Ziehm news release.
The Ziehm Vision FD Vario 3D C-arm now connects with Medtronic's StealthStation navigation system over the Ziehm NaviPort interface. The technology provides 3D images during an operation, designed for use in traumatology and spine surgery.
The technology provides high-resolution x-rays during complex cases and minimally invasive procedures and includes more than 16,000 shades of gray and sorter fluoroscopy times.
